New Wave in Riga Ghetto and Latvian Holocaust museum
On July 20, 2011 participants of the international contest of young pop singers “New Wave 2011” together with the head director of the contest Aleksander Revzin and the general director Aleksandr Rumjancev visited Riga Ghetto and Latvian Holocaust museum. Rabbi Menachem Barkahn told to visitors of the museum about history of Jewish people and their fate during the Holocaust. He also emphasized the necessity to remember terrible events of the war and the Holocaust, and encouraged the young generation not allow to forget about it. Visitors of the museum who became acquainted with expositions lied flowers and lit memorial candles. Aleksander Revzin teaches to participants of the contest that it is very important not only to improve the talent, but also the responsibility for society and history.
