Master-classes of Jewish cuisine
Master-classes of Jewish cuisine “Teiglakh, kreplakh, eingemahts” are to be started on November 8, 2009 in Jewish community “Shamir”. They are the part of the project “Cuisine of Idishe mame”.
The majority of the receipts are not familiar to the majority of young ladies, but besides the cultural value, they are healthy and tasty. If loosing the time, people, who are mastering the cuisine, will not be able to pass the knowledge to the younger generation and it will be lost.
These master-classes are aimed to teaching of young (and not so young) Jewish ladies to cook traditional Jewish food in a friendly environment.
Each meeting will be devoted to the special food, i.e. teiglakh, tsimes, gefilte fish etc. An experienced Jewish cook will show and describe the process of cooking. All of participants will leave the master-class with a food-box.
